Name: Bauss Stormbeard
Race: Gold Dwarf
Age: 134
Height: 137 cm
Weight: 55 kg
Build: Strong & Athletic
Stoic and calm, rarely showing strong emotions outwardly. His demeanor helps him remain level-headed in crises, providing a steadying influence on those around him. The dwarf offers profound insights and guidance, drawing on his deep connection with the earth and extensive knowledge of dwarven lore.
While other dwarven children trained for battle and engaged in rigorous military exercises, Bauss was different. He could often be found in the market square, enthralling the crowds with stories of old, or lost in the pages of ancient tomes. He spent hours exploring the natural beauty of the Great Rift, captivated by the unique rock formations, the sound of the wind echoing through the canyon, and the sparkling minerals embedded in the walls. This love for storytelling and the natural world set him apart from his peers, who often viewed him with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.
As was customary in the clans, children followed their parents' trade. For Bauss, this meant over 64 years laboring in the mines, extracting minerals and precious stones for his family. Unusually, Bauss had a unique talent for finding these stones, claiming he could hear their voices. His parents, while proud, were also puzzled by his peculiar ability. However, during the Longest Year when magic ceased, Bauss's gift diminished, leading to frustration and disappointment in his family, particularly from his father who had once hailed him as a prodigy.
Desperate to save his kin, Baus pleaded with this spirit to assist in the rescue. Miraculously, some rocks shifted, allowing rescue teams to reach the trapped miners. Whether this intervention was divine or not, no one can really say. But the event profoundly changed Bauss. He realized his destiny was to act as a mediator, balancing the needs of the living earth with those of the dwarves who mined its riches.
Bauss visions continued, and his spirit guide revealed that he would play a crucial role in the reconquest in the Old Kingdoms of Shanatar. These visions were vivid and urgent, showing him scenes of dwarves rallying under a forgotten banner, reclaiming their lost heritage. With a newfound sense of purpose and a broken relationship with his family, Baus sets out for Murann. He sought to rally his kin, share his visions, and offer guidance to his kin.

Background Story
Early Life
Bauss Stormbeard was born in the Great Rift in 1235 DR, the Year of the Black Horde, to a nearly extinct clan with a prestigious but largely forgotten history. The Stormbeard clan, though now almost lost to time, was once home to the last king of Shanatar, a kingdom whose splendor and might are now the stuff of ancient legends. Growing up, Bauss knew little of his clan's illustrious past. To him, the Stormbeard name was just an echo of bygone days, mentioned only in passing by the elders who were tought to be crazy. While other dwarven children trained for battle and engaged in rigorous military exercises, Bauss was different. A Calling from the Earth
In 1369 DR, the Year of the Gauntlet, tragedy struck. A cave-in trapped many miners, including Baus, under tons of rock. Unconscious and on the brink of death, Baus experienced an otherworldly journey between planes. The voices he had always heard now had form and substance, appearing as a majestic Owl, her feathers flecked with traces of metal and gems. This spirit, embodying the essence of the earth, communicated a profound truth to Bauss: he was chosen to be a bridge between the physical and spiritual world.Desperate to save his kin, Baus pleaded with this spirit to assist in the rescue. Miraculously, some rocks shifted, allowing rescue teams to reach the trapped miners. Whether this intervention was divine or not, no one can really say. But the event profoundly changed Bauss.
