Moving forward, this thread will feature the latest Patch Notes (which will still be posted to Discord as well).

Mechanical Changes:
  • Silver Drop on Death: When reaching -10, PCs will drop all held silver upon death. To offset this, characters can bank their silver via the persistent storage option. [To be made available in Beta soon].
    • Players should aim to carry what they need and leverage persistent storage to protect their silver.
    • Admin Addendum:
      • This is intended to provide a sense of impact from a Rolelay perspective that is more significant than just charging into a dungeon with only a minor XP and SP loss upon Respawn. (Carrying 10,000sp on a person is an odd decision).
      • Similar to Executions, if this is leveraged to create toxic player encounters, we will assess each case individually, and adjust the system to ensure that the aim remains on storytelling as opposed to ganking or OOC attacks/harassment.
  • Sleight of Hand (Pick Pocket): https://www.dragonsneck.com/wiki/Skill-Changes
    • Possible silver amount to steal: 3d20.
    • Will not work on targets with less than 50 silver, or those that are not humanoid/civilized (no orcs/goblins/etc).
    • User can only use Sleight of Hand once per real-life hour.
    • Targets can only be pick-pocketed once a day, or once per reset. Whichever comes first.
      • In other words, a player can only be the target of a pickpocket once per day/reset. So if player A pickpockets player B, player C cannot pickpocket player B a few hours later. Player B would be immune for either 24 hours or until the next reset.
    • NPCs can be stolen from, however will turn hostile and attack if the Pickpocket fails.
    • If the User fails against a PC, a small VFX will play for the target on the location of the pickpocket, and they will be notified of the attempt.
    • If the User succeeds against the target, the PC will take the gold from the target. A notification will be sent to the target after 4d6 Rounds to let them know some coin was stolen.

    • Taunt:
      • Taunt has been reworked completely from base-game mechanics. Taunt will no longer fire an animation, or impact the target's AC. Taunt will now function as a single-target threat boost. This is intended to allow tanks (and others), and opportunity to peel enemies away from vulnerable party members. [For now, this has no effect in PvP aside from manual roles between players.]
      • Threat calculation: d20 + Taunt Skill rank (non-base).
      • Cooldown: 120 seconds.
    • Intimidate:
      • Intimidate has been reworked mechanically to impact threat generation via Melee attacks. When dealing damage with melee attacks: For every 5 levels of Intimidate (non-base) that the PC has, they will generate equivalent threat to one other hostile target near them. This additional threat generation is determined with every attack. [This will help characters generate AoE threat via melee strikes].
      • e.g. 10 Intimidate = 2 additional (3 total) targets will receive the threat of the single melee attack.
      • A future iteration of this skill will likely make this a toggleable effect for the user.

[Calliope]

  • Somewhere around 200+ Area fixes. Too many to even list. Clipping Placeables, floating placeables, etc.

[Aschent]

  • Cleric:
    • “Mule” requires an NWNX Update, if cannot be done by Launch, Mule will be temporarily reworked.
  • Dragon Devotee:
    • Fixed Linked Skill issue.
    • Alignment issue could not be repro’d.
  • Druid:
    • Fixed an issue with Wildshape HP bugs when shifting to a Bear.
  • Monk:
    • Fixed an issue with Blinding Strikes, Wiki details updated.
  • Shadowdancer:
    • Fixed an issue with Shadow Jump that applied healing without the feat.
  • Dialog:
    • Fixed numerous Dialog issues (40+):
      • Herbalist Tamara.
      • Innkeepers.
      • Misc NPCs.
      • Tavern Wench.
      • etc.
  • Misc:
    • Implemented Taunt/Intimidate Reworks mentioned above.
    • Implemented Sleight of Hand Rework mentioned above.
    • Implemented Silver-loss-on-Death mentioned above.
    • Fixed some Zero AC armors in Cromwell’s in Murann.
    • Removed Player Inspection Tools for new PCs.
    • Updated “Map Tools” description.
    • Updated XP Wiki Article to clarify that Creature XP no longer exists and is now “Encounter XP”.
    • Fixed an issue related to logging out while downed and respawn menu not showing up upon logging back in.
    • Fixed headless Herbalist Tamara.
    • Fixed some issues related to Tumble.
    • Commands:
      • !animalshape fixed.
      • Please re-report any commands that do not work.
    • Resting/Inns:
      • Fixed a number of issues related to resting.
        • Captain’s Cabin will now properly notify a player of how resting works on TDN.
        • Resting in Medium Armor will no longer block a player out from Resting.
        • Fixed the text for Resting. (More to come).
      • Added a loading bar for Resting.
      • Keys should now be removed from players upon exiting inns.
      • Innkeepers should no longer allow gold duplication.
    • Temple/Priest Fixes:
      • Fixed Wave of Might dialog & PC Raising.
    • Loot:
      • Fixed a number of issues related to loot not spawning in chests. (4x).
    • Dungeons:
      • Fixed an issue with Tranquil Fields creature respawns being too quick.
      • Fixed unreachable loot in a few areas.
    • Tailors:
      • Fixed a few tailor issues that were persisting.

[Pyro]

  • Divine Champion:
    • Description updated. (Skills).
  • Shadowdancer:
    • Shadowdancer Skills fixed.
  • Warlock:
    • Flee the Scene should now leave a copy behind.
    • Fixed an issue with See the Unseen.
  • Wizard:
    • Force Needle should now regain uses per day.
  • Weapon Master:
    • Per-Day Ability should now properly be initialized.
  • Feats/Spells:
    • Weapon Focus Maul should now be available for eligible players.
  • Misc:
    • Fixed an issue with Halflings sitting and floating.
 

August 22nd:


Mechanical Changes:
Healing Kits:
To give better separation between healing options for players, there are a few updates taking place primarily for Healing Kits:
Healing Kits can now only be used out of combat unless the target is below 0 HP.
Healing Kit costs have been slightly reduced.
This is intended to encourage Healing Kits to be the more consistent form of healing for players.
Healing Kit Heal-Over-Time should be much more reliable.
BugFix: Healing Kits can no longer be used when at max HP.
BugFix: Healing Kits Heal-Over-Time ends if the player drops below 0 HP. A new kit will need to be applied.
BugFix: Healing Kits should now properly have a chance to remove Significant Wounds.
BugFix: Healing Kits can no longer be ‘doubled up’ on a player.
Potions, while being slightly more expensive, can continue to be used in combat and primarily leveraged as an emergency heal resource.

Dread Necromancer:
Touch of Fatigue Fixed.
Wizard:
Shadowed Trick Illusion Fixed.
Diviner’s Fortune Fixed.
Misc:
!betarest/!beta rest will now properly raise a player who is below 0 HP.
Items of Corpses should now use the saved name the player has for the player. Otherwise, it will default to “Adventurer’s Corpse”.
Fixed a bug related to +1 Enhancement Bonus being added to Shortbows/Longbows.
Fixed several bugs related to Notices/Noticeboards. Please focus test this system.
Numerous dialog issues fixed.
Fixed a Tailor bug where items would not be destroyed on the model.
Armor racks should now have loot.
Fixed dialog issues related to the Property Deed.
[Pyro]
Fixed an issue related to Opportune Parry/Riposte.
Blessing of Spirits Fixed.
Wolf Form Sizes temporarily scaled back.
Mass Haste will now be listed as Transmutation.
Charnel Hound should now properly unsummon when casting another summon.
Bladesinger Weapon logic fixed.
Divine Champion updates added.
Deadly Focus will no longer provoke AOO.
Monk Ki ability icons updated.
Monk Ki Strike (non activatable) feat level spread updated.

Back-end OnChat system updates.
