Let all jobs be workable 24/7.

There's already at least one job that has 24/7 hours, meaning the PCs who work there can have more flexibility in when they can work and when they can RP outside the job, as well as earn more income than PCs who have jobs that only pay during IG daytime.

Let the other jobs be the same, so that if a player only has three hours to game in the evening after their RL job, and those three hours are during IG nights, they're not forever locked out of being able to work IG.

God this’d be so good for the library. Night shift would be chill. Would make the city feel even more alive, I think; some people are just night owls, y’know?

I'd like this because you'd generally then get to a point where you'd know certain characters could be found in certain places at all times but I do worry this would lead to people just AFK farming silver :ROFLMAO:

A good remedy for that would be to re-implement the AFK timer in work zones. Unsure if it can be narrowed down to AFK timers for those possessing a contract in those zones. I've got no clue what you can and can't do with scripting for it.

This could already happen, as the day cycle is three RL hours.

An AFK timer in work areas might deter someone determined to game the system for 5sp every 15 minutes, but I'd prefer not to be micromanaged that way. I've sat in the library for an hour without emoting a thing - but since I keep my sound on and can hear the door open, I can instantly respond when someone walks in for RP. I've put out notices that say the library is staffed. I've stayed after work hours to keep RPing. In the end, it balances.

Besides, anyone consistently unavailable at work is subject to the RP court of public opinion, which is far worse a punishment, IMO.

I feel you on sitting AFK and listening for the door. Theres only so much self-emoting you can do!

I think it'd be cool but... Wait you get 5SP as a librarian?!

Putting the AFK timer on it would be terrible. As has been said, there’s only so much self-emoting you can do. Would not want to get got for avoiding the timer, either; quiet or slow jobs should be okay to chill at, y’know?
