The Dragon's Neck Dev Update
It has been quite the month! While we don't have a ton of new information to share, there are some details related to how Beta has been progressing. We do not have an end-date planned for Beta at this point, however we are expecting Beta to last into February while we load in updates, new classes, and new features. We don't have much new content to showcase in this update, however DEFINITELY take a look at many of the new heads that Ruladre has been working hard on over the past several weeks!
Beta Details:
- Approx 100+ Bugs have been squashed since Beta began.
- Our Week 1 Class Focuses Included:
- Bard
- Barbarian
- Cleric
- Druid
- Zero server crashes during Beta.
- No evidence of lag or consistent lag spikes have been reported.
Documentation Updates:
We've updated a few Wiki pages with changes. Although this is still heavily a WORK IN PROGRESS, you're welcome to keep an eye on these pages for future updates.
We have updated the Wiki with details on The Longest Year. If you'd like a refresher on the impacts of our custom setting change, TLY (The Longest Year) is the place to start.
Also...
We have decided to retcon the destruction of Suldanessellar. This also impacts a few other elements related to the desctruction:
- The slumbering dragon would never have woken and laid waste to the forest.
- Duchy Noromath did not see an exodus of elves from The Wealdath.
- The Elves within the forest remained suspicious and wary of outsiders.
Looking Ahead:
For those that remember last month's Dev Update, we mentioned a few new classes on the horizon. We have not yet gone through design at this point, however that will be an objective throughout December. By End of December, we expect to have at minimum the designs complete for the following classes so the community can take a look!

Some more heads coming to TDN! These will be available to Beta Testers within the coming weeks. Accessories will be fully colorized and customizable on each PC!
