Hello. I would like to put forward the idea that it would be beneficial for the server to reinstate these two classes. Here are a few arguments in favor of this:
There is no need to reassess the power of each undead summon on a case-by-case basis. Instead, an undead summoner should simply be able to summon three undead at once, as was the case with some of the Dread Necromancer's spells.
- These classes are part of what made TDN unique and attracted many players to play here. Of course, they are not the only reason. I find the idea of encountering a Dread Necromancer with their three undead minions while wandering through a forest to be very exciting.
- In my opinion, and you are free to do as you see fit, if you want anti-spellcaster sentiment to develop, there need to be reasons for it. People won’t do anything wrong with their magic if they have nothing malicious to do with it. Blighters and Dread Necromancers could infect nature or corrupt the living, providing very concrete reasons for an increase in anti-magic sentiment.
- A lot of work has already been put into designing and technically implementing these two classes. There may be bugs, and certainly some balance adjustments to make, but it would be a great shame if all that hard work were done in vain.
