Just like the title may imply already, I would love to see a command for weather working similarly to !date command. The simplest version could fetch the latest weather prompt from the logs. Though, of course, it would be much cooler to get more details with this for roleplay purposes.
Something to tell us if it is windy, warm, cold, what's the temperature feels like, etc. So people could, for instance, try to dress properly before leaving indoors area, or just talk about the weather and discuss if it is worth going out of the cozy and warm indoors area and other things like that.

While I love the idea, many (most) players already barely interact with extremely obvious weather (rain), and don't use things like umbrellas or even any kind of covering. Adding something like this would likely have no impact on the server as a whole.

When you say players aren't interacting with the weather, do you mean like holding an umbrella that costs 300-400 sp, or do you mean staning around complaining about the weather every time it rains, or do you mean wandering indoors to avoid said weather?

The weather is vague. There are limitations on the engine which prevent the weather from being portrayed as it might actually be. Thus, the OP's suggestion is great and would likely contribute to greater interraction with the weather. Because right now, it might be raining, but we don't know how hard, we don't know how hot or cold it is, how much wind there is, or anything of that nature. If it's snowing but it's 40 F outside, my character is bound to react far differently than if it's snowing and its -10 F outside.

On the first relaunch last year, there was a cheap umbrella in the ooc room (literally no clue why they removed it, I still have mine on my character) and the weather was a big part of RP (there was a huge, angry and uninterrupted storm). Most players thoroughly ignored it. While I wish I shared the (naive) hope that adding a command that spat out things like temperature and wind would enhance the RP overall, I think reality is very different - with the precedent of the server's first relaunch. Would a couple people make use of it? I'm sure. Enough that it makes a difference? I don't think so.

And even right now, though umbrellas are not easily accessible anymore for some reason, people still dont interact with obvious weather like rain. And yeah, I mean shit like going indoors and wearing hoods/covers. If you reading this is like "but I do it!" then great! I support you! But don't pretend its not the minority.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that adding such a command would have no impact on the server as a whole. What kind of impact are you referring to? That it would force every player to strictly follow the weather report? If that's the case, I’d have to agree with you - that's unlikely. But that’s not the reason I made this suggestion.

Bug already explained it perfectly in their post, and the only thing I’d add is this: be the change you want to see. Wear hoods, carry umbrellas, create outfits suited for different weather conditions… The more people do this, the more likely it is to become 'contagious' and turn into a natural habit.
